"Manegarm play brutal, melodic Viking Metal. I think they are better than most of the other banks of this genre. Their music is epic in scope and their lyrics deal with authentic Norse paganism. The vocals alternate between growls and clean singing. Both work very well. Even if you are like me and dislike "devil boy" vocals Manegarms' stylings are more passionate shouts than some idiot trying to fit the monotheist ideas of Heathenry by attempting to sound "evil".

Although the songs are sung in Swedish, the band includes English translations for those who cannot talar Svenska. If you are already familiar with Manegarm, this cd wil also sound familiar. If you are not yet a fan, I would advise that you get Vargstenen first since I feel it is their srongest album but really, all their albums are good."
