"This CD is a terrific sampling of the work of this Brazilian keyboard artist. He died suddenly last year, and will be missed by those who looked forward to his continued recording. The track "Braziliana" was written for his wife, who often sang in her haunting soprano, with him and his band. Hi Brazilian rhythms, unexpected and memorable chord progressions, and the sheer joy and passion of his music make this one of my very favorites. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do."
What a find!

"I only recently became aware of this great artist, and now he has left us. I started to investigate Fest after hearing some cuts on a couple of the Concord Jazz samplers. His version of Jobim's Insensative is not to be missed. I finally ordered this album and after only a couple of playings, I know what I have been missing. Fest sounds a bit like Walter Wanderley, only on piano. Fest's touch is perhaps not as "lounge lizard" as Wanderley's. Fest's sound is clean, crisp and swinging. This work is truely "musical" in the best sense of the word. I know I will be acquiring more CDs by this great artist."
