CD ReviewsStunning Jordan Hedlund | Minneapolis, MN USA | 12/30/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "Manuel Valera and his energetic bandmates James Genus and Ernesto Simpson display a dizzying array of Chick Corea-based fusion through most of this album. The first track "Numerico" as well as the final and title track "Currents" are both my favorite, and very frantic and frenzied. However, Manuel slows it down and shows his softer almost Bill Evans side on tracks "I Fall In Love Too Easily" and "I Loves You Porgy". If you're already at this page and reading this review, you might as well buy it. I recommend this album."
