CD Reviews

If you liked the movie, you'll love the soundtrack.

"Hey Addams Fans! I would totally reccomend this cd. Listening to the music without watching the movie is really different. True most of it IS instrumental, but its really cool and fun to listen to. I haven't been able find the original Addams Family movie soundtrack and I'm not sure if there is one...so this is as close as you get!!! Not only do you get the catchy (I mean ADDIVTIVE) instrumental music, but the "Eat me" song. What more could you ask?"
Marc Shaiman's work is excellent as always

"The score of Addams Family Values (in fact a really good movie) is just super! If you like the film you will love the music! Mr. Shaiman used his themes from the first movie and of course the famous TV theme and completed it with new melodies, for example Pubert's theme, Debbie's theme (you hear a fantastic variation of it on "The Honeymoon Is Over" and at the end of "Escape from Debbie) and the Chippewa melodies. Unfortunately there are some missings for a die-hard-fan like me: "Wednesday's Revolt" (an ultimate highlight in movie and on cd) misses the end melodies played by violins. In the film you hear it after the TV theme (when Wednesday shocks Amanda whith making fire). But therefor we can listen to a melodic introduction on the very same sample unheard in the movie. I also miss the music which is played when Pugsley and Wednesday have to sit in the harmony hut and then try to escape. There are a few other nice variations of the music heard in the movie which did not make it on the CD. However it is real good stuff you get. The best of all, of course, is "The Tango"; really exciting!! I also love "The Big Scene" - it is something like a Finale in which the most melodies and themes come together... There is a CD of the first Addams-Family-Movie Soundtrack. If you have it, this one will complete Mr. Shaiman's fantastic work. If you don't have it, buy this one and you will love it even more."
