Margot and the Nuclear So and So's formed in Indianapolis, IN in 2006. The band quickly gained a strong following, and after heavy US touring, Artemis Records signed the band to release "The Dust of Retreat." Margot released their sophomore record on Epic Records, with whom they signed in 2007. Animal! was released in 2008 amidst band/label controversy; two albums were actually released, Animal! was the band's track listing, and Not Animal was the label's. With 2010's Buzzard, Margot brings a more aggressive and streamlined sound.
