"These Marian McPartland CDs are addicting. But I think the finest one is this one, with Joe Williams. As someone who always loved Count Basie's "favorite son" and was delighted to see him on Carson, Griffin and Douglas shows, I liked theman and admired the singer. This tape is why.The first cut is raunchy as anything. But raunchy without vulgarity (unlike rap) is quite entertaining. Who She Do is a blast. The CD goes through other stories, and the two of them play a lot. There are some wonderful things about Louis Armstrong, Wynton Marsalis and Ellington. My favorites cuts are the last 3 songs, Nobody's Heart, Just Friends and I'm Beginning to See the Light. We miss Joe Williams."
