"Teddi King left us much too soon. Her RCA recordings did not do
her justice. Small labels like Vogue and Audiophile seemed to
capture her better but it was this live recording done with
Marian McPartland that captures her singing before an audience. She is wonderful as she glides through several standards. This was recorded at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center in the early 70s and was on LP for a while. Thanks to Halcyon for putting
this superb recording on CD for fans to purchase and to listen to
forever and ever. The lady could deliver a song like few others."

"There are too few Teddi King recordings on CD. This was one of
her later ones recorded live with Marian McPartland. Miss Mc
has wisely reissued it on her own Halcyon label and fans will be
delighted. Teddi could really sing the old standards and this is
one of the top reissues of the year."
