"If you are a fan of music that expresses the deepest and most profound emotions with the most beautiful melody and musicianship, do not hesitate to purchase this CD.
I first encountered this CD after attending at a conference in beautiful Lisbon, Portugal. In a mountain town, not far from the capital, a local music store was playing this CD on its outside speakers. My spouse was hitting the shops, and as a result, I found myself waiting patiently in the lane... the beautiful sounds of this CD enfolding me. I heard the whole CD two or three times -- I am a patient person, and very much in love, after all these 30 years -- but I noticed something. When the second track was played -- Minh' Alma -- tears would begin to flow. And yes, I started to listen. Later, the melodies running through my mind, despite our having journeyed on, I said, "We must have this CD." We went back and bought it.
This is a work of astonishing passion, poetry, and eloquence. Please listen to Minh' Alma, and you'll see what I mean.

Mesmerizing Mariza!

"I bought this CD after the Mariza concert I attended last night. I have never been so mesmerized by a performer before. From the moment she stepped onstage with the almost regal way she moved, to her obvious humility when she spoke to the audience, I was hypnotized. She only sang one song in English last night (Roy Orbison's "Crying"), but it didn't matter with her lovely voice, deeply emotional delivery, and the outstanding musicians who accompanied her. I've also never been to a concert where the lighting played such an integral part in creating a mood for the audience. This new CD, "Terra" is amazing, and if you have a chance to see Mariza in concert, for heaven's sake don't hesitate!"
MARIZA'S NEW ALBUM "TERRA" (EARTH) SPEAKS TO ALL CULTURES

"Mariza's incredible range and ability to evoke powerful and soft emotions is exquisitely breathtaking. Her two world-renowned guitarrists on the Portuguese 12 string guitar and acoustic guitar complement her excellence with their own. Regardless of the language you speak, she has the ability to move the listener to laughter and tears in each song. This disk reveals the reason for her universal appeal in every region of the United States and on every continent where she has sung. She is not only an icon of music in her homeland Portugal, but a treasured universal musical diva across cultures. Mariza's is a voice for the ages!"

"I've seen Mariza in concert on the 8th of April, 2009 in Madison, WI. She is an excellent singer and has great stage presence as well a superb connection while singing or conversing with the audience. This CD has many of the songs she did in the concert and therefore brings good memories to me. I have three of her previous CD's and two of her DVD concert performances. All of them are excellent!"
