Life Gets Loud...and great

"Musical justice was finally done when Mark Lowry won a long overdue and deserved Dove Award strictly as a vocalist for his orchestrated hymns album "I Love To Tell The Story". On his recent release, "Life Gets Loud", he continues to demonstrate those award-winning qualities: pure, emotive singing with savvy song choices.
"Thank My Savior" and "I Wanna Go There" with backing vocals by LordSong, Chip Davis and producer Michael Sykes, should find a comfortable home with Southern Gospel fans. But the true goose-bump moments come when Mark does what he does best: taking the lyrics and becoming transparent, just him and his voice proving him still as one of the best communicators in song. Highlights in this category are the soulful Scooter Simmons/Steve Christopher song "Over My Head"; the hauntingly beautiful "The Inviting Christ", by Kyle Matthews and Chad Cates; and two songs that could fare well in secular markets, the Suzanne Jennings/Michael Sykes song "When The Sun Comes Out Again" and "Nothin' To Prove", written by Dan Dean.
