"Marc O'Connor first won fame as the U.S. National Junior Fiddling Champion, and I own an autographed copy of his debute album circa age 15 or 16. I am also a fan of both Blue Grass and classical music, of which I've found a suprising number of co-conspirators over the years. O'Connor, in later life, has turned to composing in the classical mode and has incorporated the themes of American folk music into his work. He is as logical a successor to Aaron Copeland as I've heard.

"A truly inspired album. If ever you go touring America's great places you should be sure to have this playing. It praises and captures the American landscape and essence like few other albums ever achieve."

"It is hard to rate this piece. Should is be rated compared to Copland, Dvorak, or Thile? It is a very significant symphony and one of the best classical compositions is recent years. Mark is such a talented musician and I hope he produces more of these efforts."
