"Truly, there is only one word to describe Blue Collar Sessions: AMAZING. Never have I purchased an album and been so immediately impressed. The beats on this album are complex yet melodic and rhythmic, almost perfect. Dj Dust, the musical mastermind of Mars Ill, has created a symphony of wonderful hip-hop pieces over which his partner, an mc by the name of Manchild, raps amazingly. The lyrics really are where Blue Collar Sessions shines. Thoughtful and self-examing, yet interesting and catchy, I had already learned the first several lines of one of my favorite songs on the cd, "Badlands", by my second listen. I cannot designate one song on this album as the best, as they are all great. I will say that my favorite is "Redefine", a Caribean flavored track with wonderful lyrics and a great sample from Jurassic 5's "Quality Control" (During the 'chorus'). This is a must own for any real hip-hop fan and it should be cherished as a truly great gift from the minds of Dj Dust and Manchild!"
