The power and the beauty -incredible passion here

"Oh that there were more EPs in the world, especially of this quality. Following in the wake of what I consider the finest album of 2005, I Will Internalize collects scattered tracks into a half-album of virtual perfection. In terms of piercing vocals, tight songwriting,an incredible sense of meter and phrase, dead-on production, raw emotion and just flat-out guts, Martha Wainwright is the most surefooted singer-songwriter since Dylan himself. "Baby" just leaps out of the speakers, the French song aches and soars, the duet with Rufus a stunner, and the title track so utterly, totally wrenching I can almost hardly stand it ("whispering whispering whispering whispering please" ) This is the real deal, and it'll break your heart a hundred times over and patch it up a hundred and one. Absolutely wondrous music."
Martha's finding her voice

"To me, this is the foundation for much of which was so brilliantly realised in her later albums. It's interesting to hear,
for completeness, our heroine try to find her voice and her style with these tracks which evolved so beautifully later on.
It's in no way therefore as complete or sophisticated as her later albums but it gets 5 stars for 'Dis moi..' alone
-the last track on the album, which I heard for the first time live and nearly wet my pants...
