"I heard with great interest this new CD by Martin Foster, violonist and Eugene Plawutsky, pianist, presenting the world premiere recordings of four masterpieces from Brazilian masters. The great interest of the CD however cames with the two marvelous works by MARLOS NOBRE Heitor Villa-Lobos, very contrastant pieces from different periods of the Brazilian classical music history. Lobos is a recognized master of the first half of the XX.Century and Marlos Nobre with his masterpiece "Desafio n° 3" is a true revelation. This piece is virtuosistic like the "Tzigane" by Ravel, but with a trully Brazilian flavour and accent, written by a trully genius of our time: Marlos Nobre confirms his reputation as the worthy successor of Villa-Lobos and his heir in the Brazilian music."
