CD ReviewsWorth the wait? Vanessa R. Leavitt | Washington DC | 04/26/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Finally, after so many years, we get to hear another work from Martin Page. "In the House of Stone and Light", his first solo release, is one of those albums that sticks with you, not only because of it's haunting melodies, hooks, poetic lyrics - but because it just hits you as something deeper, more real than the pop fluff music we are bombarded with these days. In the Temple of the Muse is no different and perhaps even MORE necessary now than ever. The journey that Martin Page takes us on through the temple encompasses just as many emotions and insights as "House" did and more. Each of the tracks is unique, but among my favorites are "I Guess I Will," which is Page's "Ode to the Muse". "Everything You Do" which feels and sounds more like a spiritual mediation than anything, and the melody is one that will stay with you for a long time. One of my other fav's is "The Long Walk Home." Anybody who has ever struggled with anything like depression, addiction, life in general will relate well to this song and appreciate it's message of hope. Like "House," you will hear something new every time you listen. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely." Fantastic C. Graham | 05/08/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Some thing's are worth waiting for, this CD is one of them. Martin Page at his best. "Everything you do", "Try" & "Where the sun is buried" are my favorites, but all of the songs are great. I predict that Temple of the Muse, will hit the chart's in no time. Please don't miss out, Martin Page, Temple of the Muse is food for the soul!"
