"Obviously a couple of these reviewers have no idea what they are talking about, or simply like only what they know. What I love about Mary Cleere Haran, besides that sultry voice, is that she deftly mixes well-known songs on this disc (i.e. "The Boy Next Door" and "The Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe") with obscure pieces. I don't want to hear artists repeat what everyone else is doing. Mary Cleere Haran's choice of material is impeccable, and her singing a thing of beauty to the ears."

"I have all of Mary Cleere Haran's CDs and this is by far the best, though her salute to Lorenz Hart is also fine. Her choice of Hollywood songs, not all of them recorded very often these days, is exquisite. The piano work by Fred Hirsch is wonderful."

"The songs are what make this so great, these are rare gems from the 40's, like the Crosby associated "Going My Way"(comlete with verse). Haran's vocie is silky smmoth and speaks right at you, ahe's so smooooooth!!! A great cd, with a great jazz trio!"
