Sung from the heart

"I ordered this CD on Amazon thinking it would provide a nice take on Italian pop from the seventies, complete with charmingly kitschy arrangements. However, this CD went far beyond my expectations. Massimo Ranieri transcends all eras, singing straight from the heart in his beautiful tenor voice. Some of the great poetic singers like De Andre, Battiato, and De Gregori might be have more depth in terms of the intellectuality of their texts, but none of them can compare with Ranieri in terms of pure soul. I highly recommend this wonderful CD."
