Recorded in Humboldt County and Mastered at Capitol Records in Hollywood, this delightful CD showcases a different side of the art of Matthew Cook, who is best known for his extensive piano repertoire. This very personable collection features the beautiful, rich sound of a 1963 Martin D-18 along with full, powerful vocals. Change, and the struggle to grow through it is the common thread of these songs. The album features seven previously unpublished songs and six arrangements of cover tunes from Rufus Thomas, Robert Johnson, Stephen Stills, Kieran Kane, Steve Earle, and Townes Van Zandt.
