"MC Lyte's first batch of albums up until "Act Like U Know' were very groundbreaking in terms of female-led hip hop. This album saw a bit of a change in her career and it seems like on 'Bad As I Wanna B' she was trying to re-mould herself into the guise of a sultry and slightly mysterious sexy figure. That's just my opinion. But even though she still shows the ability to rock the mic like a vandal, it's the beats which don't quite measure up on this one. They're a bit too refined and polite compared to the earlier albums which are much more raw and untamed. That said it's still a good album and you can probably play this at a bar-B-Q with your friends and occasionally dance, but if you end up burning the sausages then you should stop hosting that kind of social occasion. Fire is dangerous."

""have u ever ever in your long living life seen a woman rock the mic like the one called the LYTE" . . MC LYTE. She's the baddest chick in the game and one of the greatest MC's. Cop Aint no Other, Eyes on This, Act Like You know and lyte as a rock. The Queen of conscious rap is dope. Only Lauryn comes close to her microphone skills."
