Dylan tribute with a difference
William R. Bettler | Indiana | 11/26/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This early 1970s album of Dylan covers gained notoriety upon its release because most of these songs had not officially been released. The gusto with which McGuiness Flint plow through this repertoire certainly outstrips the eventual versions that have surfaced by the composer. This album has a subtle quality that disarms the listener and will have her/him singing along upon a 2nd or 3rd listen."
DYLAN REDONE AND WELL DONE

"MUCH LIKE WHEN MANFRED MANN COVERED BOB DYLAN'S "QUINN THE ESKIMO", THIS ALBUM PRESENTED THE BEST EFFORTS OF A GROUP COVERING BOB DYLAN MATERIAL, AT THE TIME AND SINCE THEN IN MY OPINION. IN FACT, I TRULY THINK MCGUINESS FLINT DID A BETTER JOB OF COVERING THE SONGS THAN THE ORIGINAL MASTER "POET" ZIMMERMAN. BE READY TO FIND YOURSELF SINGING SOME OF THE ALBUM TUNES AS YOU GO THROUGH YOUR DAYS."
