CD ReviewsAn Unknown Classic D. Moore | 08/26/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "A truly great Gem of a CD. Not a lot of info in the description but this has a rhythm section of Mel, Ron Carter, and Hank Jones. The front line has Freddie Hubbard on most tracks along with Mike Brecker on a few. Freddie turns in some of his best work, with an especially great turn on the classic A Child is Born.
One of my favorite albums. Not adventorous but a tasteful, lively straight ahead effort. It is hard to find, but worth looking for." |
