Despite much of his recording output being of a more commercial nature, his Jazz leanings always shone through. He was also a drummer, songwriter, arranger, actor and TV/Radio host. He will, however, be best remembered for his light evocative baritone voice which never strayed far from the Jazz sound he so loved.
