"Melanie C has been on edge a little bit since Virgin Records terminated her contract in 2003 for single and album failure. Since then, she came back with her hit single "Next Best Superstar" which hit #10. She then was to release "Better Alone," but unfortunately monetary problems caused her to put her two CDs and DVD on the website and amazon.com only. However, after the success of her European single, "First Day of My Life," and success of her album in Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Italy, and Germany, allowed her to finally put "Better Alone" in stores. She released this CD (the German CD).



01. Better Alone [Radio Edit] - [B] - It seems to be lacking a lot from the album version which seems much more explanatory. This version seems rushed.



02. Better Alone [Pop Mix Edit] - [A+] - This is amazing. It combined "Better Alone" with Victoria Beckham's "Let Your Head Go." This hot dance track made me love this single.



03. Warrior - [A] - The first time I listened to this song, it seemed a little awkward because the lyrics didn't make sense until the chorus. The chorus is an intregal part of the song that holds it at an "A."



04. Better Alone [Amazing Dub] - [B] - It's good. Remixes are getting crazy long for no reason though. 7:46.... that's a little long.



05. You'll Get Yours [Acoustic Version] - [A+] - Holds fast to melancholy and musically, the piano and guitar are amazing. This is better than the album version. It's awesome!



06. Better Alone [Video] - [B-] - This video is one of two "Better Alone" videos. Melanie C does a bad job on this one. Gold gloves? So strange. It's hard to catch symbolism and theme in this... car sinking with Melanie having the keys and yeah... it's so strange."
