"Ever since this was first performed in 1836, this piece has grown in popularity.I first learned of this at a chapel sermon in which a kantor in residence preached on a verse of Paul's from Romans and used a part of this work to illustrate. It was magnificent. I rushed out and purchased this.It is striking in its breath and beauty. What strikes me is the total differnces in the two parts, part one being his Judaism days, and Part two after Demascus.Esecially enjoy the soprano Isokoski and Duets of Trost and Lika, for example the hauntingly beautiful "Duettino: Barnabas and Paulus." Choir Musicus Koln also excellent!"
