"This two-fer CD being released after being unavailable for years makes me wonder how many other great Hag albums are out there waiting to be re-issued! It's hard to believe Merle gets so little airplay these days, But you can solve that problem by picking up a bunch of these 2-in-1 sets and giving them a listen.

"Out Among the Stars" is especially good and as usual these are mostly Hags own songs. How in the world can one man write so many great songs year after year? But Hag did...and his own "My Life's Been Grand" and "Why Can't I Cry" are my favorites here.

I own about 35 of Hags discs and this is right up there near the top. I'd recommend this one as a no-brainer purchase for anyone who loves his music.
