The first 8 tracks are the "Quartet for the End of Time" for violin, clarinet, cello and piano with Vera Beths playing the violin, George Pieterson playing the clarinet, Anner Bijlsma playing the cello, and Reinbert de Leeuw playing the piano. The second section, tracks 9-13, are "Et exspecto resurrectionem mortuorum" for wind orchestra and metallic percussion performed by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra directed by Bernard Haitink.
