"When Marc Bolan died in that car crash sept.16,1977 I was so crushed because I knew that was the end of future studio recordings by Marc.Later that night I had a dream that I was in a record store and saw releases that I didn't have.Which was ridiculous because I had all the Bolan stuff .AHHHH but dreams do come true!Within months bootlegs were appearing (even though there were several around before his demise).I thought back to Melody Maker interviews with Marc and he would boast,"well for this l.p. I had to choose between 50 tracks.blah blah blah.." Well suddenly these began to see the light of legitimate labels,ie.EMI.One of these releases is Messing with a Mystic and it is chock full of Bolangoodies.Lots of 2 track demos either from the studio or his own home studio 4 track. Many with Gloria Jones lending her vocal talents.SKY CHURCH MUSIC is the pre ZIPGUN BOOGIE track as an example of how his songs evolved from demo to studio blowout.Bolan was always charming with just his guitar and warblings, listen to IS IT TRUE,OVER THE FLATS"
