"San Franscisco Rapper Messy Marv latest release is "Muzik Fo Tha Taliban" (2007). This album opens up "War" (Intro) a one minute track which consists of a war scene, guns blazing backed by Islamic singing. Messy Marv then try's his own Too Short impression on the weak "Come Here *****". "Wow" is a typical bling bling cut. One of the better track's on this release is "God's Vessel", first time I have heard of rapper E.S.L., I like this substantial track. 4-Tay follows up with a bouncy forgettable track in "Charger". Trigg Dot Dot drops "Dot Trigg", repping himself, while Husalah of the Mob Fingaz provides a grimy cut with "Reason Why". Messy Marv makes another appearance on the less then memorable "***** I'm Fresh". Keak Da Sneak puts his player on for the semi-decent "Night Rider", then Bay Veteran Yukmouth of the Luniz reps the "Westcoast" with the Realest and Lady Inc. Messy Marv & Mitchy Slick drop a thugged out cut with "The 2nd Letter". A-Wax contributes something different with the introspective "Everybody", rhyming and singing on a decent cut. "Poppin Bottles" & "Go Get" , "I Didn't Know" sound like the kind of material you would hear in a bad b-rated movie. Jacka of the Mob Fingaz and So official provide another street cut with "Dope Steam". The album's closer is "Taliban", Guce & Killa Keise rep being strapped up like a Taliban. This album really has nothing to do with the Taliban, if anything Messy Marv probably chose the title/album cover to get some attention. "Muzik Fo Tha Taliban" is a release die hard fan's of Bay Area may check out, to me this cd holds very little value outside a few decent tracks. 1.5."
