"Like any other Metallica CD this one is great! I like "Kill/Ride Medley" a lot because it combines six great songs into one. And it is live, and, of course, Metallica is the best band when it comes to live music. I do not recommend it so much for "Hero of the Day", since you could get that one on "Load". But if you collect singles, like I do, then you should get this single even if you do have "Load"!"
Best single ever

"The reason to buy this single is Track 2, the "Kill/Ride Medley". It's a truly great live performance from Donington '95. The medley begins with parts of Ride The Lightning, then goes through No Remorse, Hit The Lights, The Four Horsemen, Phantom Lord, and Fight Fire With Fire in that order. And then it ends with Ride The Lightning again. It's great. This is slightly different than the Kill/Ride Medley that appears on the "Cunning Stunts" DVD. In that version, Seek And Destroy is played instead of Phantom Lord."
Nothing Like hearing James sing old songs with versetility

"Although "Hero of the Day" to me was overplayed, Its nice to have when the lights are on Reload and Garage Inc. Also Metallica knows how to play live, and it shows on the Kill/Ride track. Starting from, Ride the Lightning (song) and ending with it, the song is packed full of heavy playing and loud singing. Defenitly worth the money"
This is a must have for real metallica fans

""hero of the day" is "hero of the day": a great song but not the greatest and it's one you all know. the reason this is so incredible is because of the Kill/Ride Medley. not only is it filled with amazing songs but the continuity and fluidity with which they are played is beautiful. anyone who enjoys live metallica and the first two albums must have this single."
Why this is not the best single you will ever buy!

"This is, as is usual for metallica, an excellent release. Hero of the day ,though not the best song on Load, is an excellent example of the more mellow, thoughtful and feeling metallica we have come to know since the release of the Nothing Else Matters single from the black album. Its tormenting, soulful riffs and vocals are excellent. The single is well polished off with two alternate versions of the title track and three other songs including Motorheads brilliant Too Late, Too Late. This single is above metals usual standards but just below the high standards of a metallica single. It will not be the best CD you will ever buy ,but it would make an interesting addition to anybodies collection."
