Method Actor is to Eva Cassidy's oeuvre what Get That Feeling is to Jimi Hendrix's index of recordings. Never heard of Get That Feeling? Most Hendrix fans haven't either--nor did Hendrix, for that matter. As with Hendrix, ... more »Cassidy's posthumous success has inspired a good deal of digging around for vault material. Method Actor originally came out on vinyl in 1988. The work of pedestrian lite rockers, the 10-song set captures Cassidy in the very early stages of a career than would be cut short a mere eight years later. Occasionally the singer's nascent interpretive skills shine through. The sweeping "Look into My Eyes" benefits from Cassidy's soaring vocal. More often then not, however, this is the work of journeymen who happened to cross paths with a star in the making. Completists will find bits and pieces of these first-time-on-CD recordings of interest (the cover art consists of drawings by the singer), but Cassidy enthusiasts will find this sound foreign to the Cassidy they know and love, and will move on, as she did. --Steven Stolder« less

"If you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all...Because for this album only good is the true opinion..You can compare Eva and the recordings of Method Actor to Fleetwood Mac and even Heart on this one..!
Stay and How will it end is incredible ..When the word of Method
Actor album spread among her fans, requests for copies came from far and wide.
The original LP was selling for upwards of $500.00
on the auction site EBay. It was then decided that the recording should be made available to any of her fans who wanted it, without forcing them to spend a small fortune to get it. It is quiet different from her later recordings and I believe it is all within the eye of the beholder. I only wish I could tell her just how wonderful and beautiful her music was,one can only hope she knew befor she passed."
Lovin' It!

"I just recently acquired this along with a bunch of Eva's other music. I am completely blown away with her voice. With this one in particular, it reminds me alot of early Heart. Especially "Forever". She has the strength and clarity that Ann Wilson has and it's just fabulous. It is really ashame that she's no longer with us and she couldn't have known what an impact her music has made on people like me and others. This CD is worth getting...don't let the "one star people" distract you. If anything, get it for her vocals. This one is a little more rockier and poppier than what she normally does, but her vocals are stellar!"
On the other hand, you have different fingers.

"This album has an awesome Soft Rocky feel to it.
There's plenty of electric guitar sounds in the album.
The singing style is quite different from all Eva's albums.
This album is a boon for Eva's fans who like soft/classic Rock.
Please go for this album and experience a little differnt Eva Cassidy.
5STAR for the album.

"You may need to pass on this one. I would give it a 2 where I would give song bird a 10."
