"If you've been actively searching for this MF releases, you're probably going to buy it regardless of the ratings. Everything is done in the well-known MF style - beats a little rougher and unfinished, maybe a little off beat. Before you buy, just a few things to note: 1) Just like the other reviews, the tracks are mixed up. 2) I should've read some of the reviews a little closer, but this is NOT a box set! It's mix of his Instrumental albums, so maybe two minutes of each track. So if you're looking for small patches of beats for mixes or sampling it's fine. But if you're looking for the full instrumentals, you'll have to keep buying the rest of the Special Herbs releases. If you still have the full set of Special Herbs releases, there's still a reason to buy it. There's a 3rd with 10 full length instrumentals of tracks from MF's KMD days.
I'd recommend this for hardcore Doom fans who want everything he has to offer. For those who care only for the extra 10 tracks, and are satisfied with owning all Special Herbs albums already, you'll have to decide if it's worth buying a whole box set for the 10 KMD tracks."
Songs Mix but so do the titles

"More than 80 songs! That was the first reason why I bought this wicked collection of MF Doom tracks! Instrumentals all come from special herbs 0 - 9 which I think is unreal since it all fits into 2 cds and plus you got a bonus cd with 10 hidden tracks. The only major flaw in this album is that the songs dont go according to the titles displayed in the inner flap of the cd case. For example, it says the song is played on the first track but it is really played on the 8th track. Really confusing but other than that...4 stars!"
Burning the Herbs of Instrumental Greatness

"MF Dooms super collection of beats is finally upon us. First the bad: the names are all messed up. All the track titles are wrong. SO, if you are just going to bump this masterpiece in your car or home stereo, no problem but if you are looking on iTunes for your favorite herb/beat, you'll come up with the wrong track. However, the good must be brought to all of ya'lls attention: It is the sickest instrumental CD in history. It is perfect for some freestyle sessions with the homies or with your lady (specificlly track 13, disk one). That's my two cents, and it'll be worth it to gather a couple to purchase the sickness that is the Special Herbs Box Set. CCow Out."
Yowsas!

"This is a very solid Cd set, 72 tracks mixed-blended by MF, and 10 bonus tracks. A sure buy for any fans of MF Doom or any of his other aliases, also a good buy for those that like Underground Hip-Hop, underground beats, or just overall good music. Very fun mix, there are technical flaws, but this is not as much a mix Cd as it is a compilation CD.
Anyone who even has a slight intrest get it, there are only 7,500 released once they are gone, well they are gone."
