"Many years ago, this was my introduction to Cajun Music. Iry Lejune's version of J'ai Ete Au Bal is still my favorite Cajun song of all time. I defy any modern, underground rock star to play any instrument with more fire than he plays an accordian. Anyone who likes very traditional bluegrass, mountain music, Irish or Scots music will make a very easy transition to Cajun Music after a listen to this CD. Not every song on this CD is a bombshell, but there's enough of them to place it in the twenty CDs I would take to a desert Island with me."
Be aware that this may be either Volume 1 or Volume 2.

"This is not a review; it is information. This may be either Volume 1 or Volume 2 of a 2-volume soundtrack CD set. The CDs are sold separately here. I wrote this information for Volume 2; it appeared on the Volume 1 page.
I saw the film when it was new. It is amazing both for the music and for the view of the culture. I recommend the film and the CDs."
