"It's sad to see no one has reviewed this CD! Michael is one of the best male vocalists in the Contemporary Christian field, and this collection is simply stunning. Not only is it vastly spiritual and moving, it is extremely well written and accessible regardless of your religious preference. Just given a listen to "Somebody Cares" and you'll be hooked. Overall, a tremendously effective and meaningful CD."

"Michael O'Brien is one of those rare artists who is serious about his art...and even more so about the Source and Inspiration of it. He's shown himself to be stable in a field prone to instability.



"Conviction" is the real deal - lyric full of depth, concern of heart, faith, and humility wrapped in rich vocals and melodic hooks. There is no fluff here. There is none in the man and there is none in the material. Even the strongest offering "Think About You" with sliding vocals and a fantastic beat is a solid, no-compromise gospel presentation. "1st Peter," straight out of the scripture and written by Michael's wife, Heidi, is obviously lyrically strong; and, other songs inspire the listener to catch a bigger vision of life, eternity, the lost around them, and the Savior.



Michael has gone on to lead vocals with Newsong and I really enjoy hearing him with the thick backup. Still, my preference will always be the refreshing vulnerability and honesty of Michael alone. His transparency is rare; take advantage and enjoy a strong solo effort with a foundation solid enough to support it."

This is a great CD.

"I once borrowed this CD from a friend when it first came out and I just fell in love with it. Michael has one of the greatest voices, he's right up there with Andy Chrisman from the the group 4HIM (my all time fav). I have been trying to find this CD for years and I have just discovered Amazon (I have been using eBay). I'm just gonna have to buy it. My favorite song is "Conviction" great song with a great message. I highly recommend this CD!!! There is not a song you won't like on it."
