New York-based guitarist/singer Michael Powers new release presents his eclectic choices of classic
blues covers and hard-rocking originals, cutting across blues, classic rock, and Americana genres. Blues guitarist-singer Michael Powers learned his
chops from Jimmy Reed, and toured with the James
Cotton Band while still in his teens.
When not touring blues and rock festivals, the Michael
Powers Frequency Band plays twice weekly at Terra
Blues, New York s leading blues club on legendary
Bleecker Street.
Michael is accompanied by two of his regular bands,
The MP Frequency Band and the Mana o Trio, plus a
stellar cast of featured guests and sidemen including
pianists Henry Butler and John Colianni, pianist of
the Les Paul Trio.
