"THE MUSIC: Michael Ruff's talent is showcased here, featuring his music in various styles. Everything was performed live and recorded direct to disc: no overdubs or any post-production effects added. THE SOUND: Coming from an audiophile label, this recording places you front-seat in a live Ruff concert, especially when played through a good stereo system.FOR AUDIOPHILES ONLY: Everything you're looking for is here... Sheffield transparency, perfect tonal balance, accurate soundstaging and imaging... everything comes in one complete package that delivers a sense of "being there"."

"All other recordings fail in comparison to this one!
All I can say is wow!
It is getting harder to listen to other recordings because this recording is so clean and pure. The cd is great music.
Wishing well is my favorite!
I have listened to many audiophile recordings and this is the top dog!"
Holy Book For Sound Engineers

"Michael Ruff isn't widely recognized as he would deserve by the big audience. There are more popular artists performing his songs, and they've been surely rewarded by and large.
This Speaking In Melodies, though, seems designed to entrance the Sound Engineers in search for Perfection. It's probably the only title recorded and mixed by living legend George Massenburg to actually having been produced by audiophile, no-compromise label Sheffield Lab.
If almost all productions by George Massenburg deserve the status of Holy Goal for sound engineers, combining his talent with the Label's heritage produced this masterpiece in sonic art.
If you have any interest in professional studio- or concert-sound, here's one of your career's Holy Grails (and among the best 10-album-ever to test and demonstrate a big PA system)."

"This stunning audiophile reference standard recording was performed & recorded LIVE to two track(NOT direct to disc as elsewhere claimed). Produced by Clair Marlo & engineered by Grammy award winner George Massenburg for Sheffield Lab, the true doyen of audiophile labels, this CD(for all those unlucky enough to get one of the 5000 vinyl LP's issued) is a true gem, a rare diamond amongst "Puffed up" recordings laying claim to the mythical status of being a musical & sonic delight. Michael & his band peform a legendary & truly consumate set. Captured by Custom Sheffield Lab & GML electronics this surely is NOT to be missed."
INCREDIBLE!
