"Like the review before mine, I too got this album when it was released in '83 and hands down it is my all time, never part with it, music! I even wrote to Mr. Colombier asking him when this particular album would be released on CD because I want my friends to hear this beautiful music! I love the story and the orchestra on the album, which at the time it came out you only heard that sort of string work if you went to the Symphony, which I didn't do very often back them since I was only 16 yrs old! I believe everyone should listen to "Angel of Love" because Phil Perry and the all star Choir/Background singers(Patti Austin, James Ingram, etc..)do a powerful job! Even now after all these years that song and the whole musical work moves my soul. But even then I knew this was a special album that could touch so many people in so many different ways. Now I can let the people close to me hear this beautiful music with out all the scratches and tape hiss form the times I absolutely wore out the album and tape."

"I first heard this Album on NPR the day before it was released in 1983. I purchased it as soon as it got to the local record shop on 78 LP and played it until it was so scratched I couldn't stand it. Luckily I had moved it to tape before the album was too bad and have been waiting now for over ten years for it to come out on CD. This has to be one of the great recordings of all time, featuring artist who continue to entertain audiences to this day. This has to be Michel Colombier's best album and the London Symphony Orchestra is the perfect back up for it. It mixes jazz, orchestral arrangements and lyrics that make it a fit almost every taste in music.I haven't even received the CD yet, but I can assure you, if you enjoy jazz, Patti Austin, James Ingram, a great orchestra, or just a good story, you will enjoy this album."
Gave me a new direction!

"I remember back in 1983 when I was in college, a friend of mine owned a record store and one day I walked in and heard music and choral voices like I had never heard before. There was the orchestral chorale essence to it and then there was the contemporary arrangement and instrumentation. I was amazed and bought this double album. I would listen to it every night as I went to sleep and purchased many copies because I kept giving it away to friends and family so that they could experience it also. (Notice that I PURCHASED copies and gave away...Not "Made Copies")
I was truly thrilled when a couple of year's ago I found it on the French Amazon site. But yet again I will be purchasing another copy for my brother on CD. This artist and this album are what and how music should be. As opposed to the stuff you are hearing on your average top 40 or A/C station these days...Truly changed my life!"
