"The great arranger ADAM HOLZMAN produces this album. In this CD,you can hear a warm-hearted,elegant piano play here and there. His sensitive, powerful touch took my breath away. This is not a mainstream JAZZ ALBUM,though.I like this album so much.Because MICHEL at this time was trying to step into another
musical stage, that is,this was a new setting and challenge,in a sense like a smooth jazz album stuff.A MUST ITEM FOR A SMOOTH JAZZ PIANO ALBUMS.His brilliant pianism always shines in my heart."

"This is a fantastic CD, definitely worth every penny even at a relatively high import price. It also happens to be a great disc to tick off 'jazz-snobs' with because it has a bit of a more modern-contemporary sound to it (featuring Adam Holzman on synth, Omar Hakim & Aldo Romano on drums, Steve Thornton on Percussion, and Anthony Jackson on bass), yet it blows away 99.9% of all the so-called 'traditionalist' jazz records, they, the 'purists' like, on every level and then some! I've listened to it for 10 years now and I like it better than most of my Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Bill Evans records. Well, the second track is a bit too tuneful sounding & commercial for my taste and I program around it, but everything else is ALWAYS ON! The great thing about this record is that ALL THE TUNES ARE ORIGINALS AND OF AN EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY (10 of the 11 tunes composed by Petrucciani himself). That's right! No ... overplayed... Jazz standards here! So, ... , buy this collection of Petrucciani originals and get a crash course on Aggressively Romantic Jazz Pianism from the Beyond!"
