"Two weeks ago, I'd never heard of Mike Wofford. Now I can't imagine taking his disc out of my cd player. This is a pianist of uncommon soul and depth, playing real jazz, with real feeling. There's no compromise to commercial taste, no flash here, just intelligent bebop. I came to find Wofford on the basis of a recommendation from Mark Murphy. It is no surprise that a singer of such musicality would recommend a pianist with the same quality."
