**This review pertains to the format and NOT the music**

"It is not easy for me to give Miles Dewey Davis anything less than five stars. The music speaks for itself, it is an astonishing document of live electric miles and every note played is here. 5 Stars to the music and a million to the man.
However, this boxset seems like it was assembled by bootleggers. All the bindings on the one I recently received, that means the cd books and the hard cover liner notes, came undone the second I opened them. They are far too stiff and assembled very poorly. And the box itself is very thin and flimsy, the outer graphics are so badly applied and missaligned that they showed shelfwear before I took off the shrink-wrap! The edges of the graphics on the top and bottom seem to be dog-eared before I even opened it.
Having said that, I would buy it again. This is the only definitive complete release of these shows and the sound quality is pristine. There has been no tinkering applied, we hear today what the crowd heard then.
I love you Miles, thanx for the awesome legacy."
Well , it IS 20 discs

"Miles and miles of Miles...20 discs , all but one previously unreleased. Another gem of a box to add to the Davis library. The day I received it , I actually listened straight through---hitting pause only for restroom and eating breaks...took me well over a day...NO SLEEP....gosh , it was awesome!"
Wonderful Miles in a *%&+ package

"This is one wonderfull (and hefty) package and normaly I would give it five stars without hesitation! The set is nicely documented, sound quality is mostly very good and just the two discs from '73 would (almost) justify the purchase.
The only very massive down point is the packaging! The 20 disks are held in two sleeve books that have arrived allready unglued with my brand new (sealed) copy! Considerung the serious price point and the standard set by the beautyful metal box sets by Sony this cheapo cardboard package is an insult!
That said the music speaks for itself and is nothing short of essential for anyone serious about "electric Miles"..."
Wonderfull music, complete destroyed package

"The music, the songs, the sound, the recording quality - all brillant. But the box is a complete disaster: Cheap and quick done, it broke at several parts, when i opened it the very first time (!). And this for the prize of 200 Euro and almost another 60(!) for duty. I'm really pissed off, but won't send it back; don't want to pay 60 Euro for a second package."
