Vocalist/bandleader Ray Eberle and his 1962 orchestra feature on ten updated arrangements of Miller classics. Ray Eberle sings Did I Remember?, Stairway to the Stars, My Blue Heaven, My Reverie and You Stepped out of a Dream. Mambo style arrangements of Elmer's Tune and Chattanooga Choo Choo are among the five instrumentals. Saxophonist/bandleader Tex Beneke put his own touch to the Miller sound with his 1949 orchestra. The seventeen titles here include arrangements by Jerry Gray, Billy May, Norman Leyden, Neal Hefti, Bill Finegan and Henry Mancini. Trumpeter Bobby Nicholls, trombonists Paul Tanner and Bobby Pring and saxophonists Johnny White and Sal Libero are featured. Twenty seven tracks from two eras show the big band sound living on through the leadership of Ray Eberle and Tex Beneke.
