"This is a compilation of about 48 tracks with running times under sixty seconds (not strictly adhered to). It has various audio delights of almost anything conceived being committed to tape, often on the most modest equipment, this not a major liability but may be noticed by the critical listener.
It was edited by Morgan Fisher with inspiration from Marcel Duchamp's artwork "Valise" and Pete Seeger's brief banjo redition of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy", which is included.
Artists / performers include: Robert Fripp, Lol Coxhill, Half Japanese, Quentin Crisp, Martin Chambers of The Pretenders, Andy Partridge of XTC, and The Phantom Captain. The cover illustration is by Ralph Steadman probably most well known for illustrations for Rolling Stones serialization of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson.
It can be demanding listening, best enjoyed in small doses."
