"This review is also too short. But the only thing I know about music is I know what I like. And I like Mireille.
According to Wikipedia, In 40 years Mireille Mathieu has recorded more than 1200 songs in 9 languages and sold over 150,000,000 albums. Yet hardly anyone in the States has heard of her and most of her albums are impossible to purchase over here. I keep ordering albums that are supposedly in stock only to have my order left unfilled due to lack of product. If you like 60's music you'll love her music from the 60's. If you like 70's music she recorded some of the best. If, like me, you favour the 80's that was the decade she owned (in Europe). And her music since then just gets better and better.
There's a video on one of those video sites of Mireille doing a German song on a German variety program, recorded last season. After she's done the audience applauds her and she thanks them. They continue to applaud, she continues to thank them. They jump to their feet and give her a standing ovation, and Mireille Mathieu an accomplished and consummate performer breaks down and cries.
Mireille, J'adore."
Very good German language CD.

"This is Mireille Mathieu's German CD which was released in November 2007 and re-released in 2008 with a bonus CD with five additional songs. It originally contained 14 new German songs, though some are reframed French songs from her 2005 self-titled album. There are no poor songs on this CD, and Mireille and her team (song writers, arrangers, musicians, and supporting singers) were all operating at a high level. Of the songs, I particularly liked "Was Dir bluht" (What Lies Ahead/Did it Bloom?), "Du warst meine Liebe" (You Were My Love), "Es gibt nichts zu bereuen" (We have Nothing to Repent), and "In Meinen Herzen" (In My Heart) which was one of the reframed songs. This album seems to have helped Mireille Mathieu re-ignite her career in Germany. She followed it with a successful tour of 25 concerts in March-April 2008. Now, if she would only do some concerts in the USA. Albuquerque would be a good starting point for a concert tour. (Note: The bonus CD contains two songs in French, one in German, one in English and one in French, German, Spanish and English.)"
