"All the well known classics are included here, although I'm a bit disappointed with the sound quality on some of the songs (some tracks really needed more remastering). On the other hand, the album has great surprises on this 3 CD set by including previously un-released material. Why some of these songs were not released on CD all these years, I don't know.
Mireille sounds superb on 'Appelle Moi' her version of Manilow's 'Mandy', her voice is simply magic... On Est Bien (only you) & Les Avions, Les Oiseaux send tingles down my spine everytime I hear them.
Absolutely terrific!"
Beware of copy protection on this set

"If you intend to listen to this CD set on your computer or portable device, be aware that this set contains one of those insidious copy protection schemes that prevent normal listening unless you install special software, and also only allows you to save the tracks in special MS proprietary formats. No, thanks.
While Amazon does mention it, this information is buried under the header "Format: Enhanced". I would never have come up with an idea of calling it an "enhancement". I think Amazon should change their terminology to prevent such misunderstandings.
I am returning the set."
An exceptional collection.

"This collection is a three CD, sixty song collection of Mireille Mathieu's French recordings. It includes many of her largest French hits, as well as some rare songs and some very good lesser hits. There are many exceptional songs in this collection including "A blue bayou", "Apres toi" (After you), "Les temoins" (The Witness), "L'esclave" (The Slave), "Folle, follement heureuse" (Mad, Insanely Happy), "Corsica", "L'Americain" (The American), and "Amour defendu" (Defended Love). Also, the collection includes her two most famous peace songs, "Mille colombes" (One Thousand Doves) and "Trois milliards de gens sur terre" (Three Billion People on Earth). The latter song uses the music from the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" in a late 1960's peace song. Overall, an exceptional collection of Ms. Mathieu's French recordings. I transferred many of the songs from these CDs to my I-pod as this collection is one of the better sources of her French songs."
Mireille Matthieu Platinum Collection

"If you are a fan of Mireille Matthieu then this is an essential cornerstone CD collection of 60 songs that showcases the incredible talent and voice of this incredible French singing star. I have to confess that I do not understand French but, in a way, that is an advantage because it allows me to concentrate and listen to the tones and expressions of her voice - which are absolutely superb and out of this world. Even if you are not a Mireille Matthieu fan but you like to listen to fine singers, I strongly recommend that you buy this CD collection and listen for yourself - you will be pleased that you did."
