CD ReviewsOne of Miroslav's best--newly back in print MT | Princeton, NJ | 07/19/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "If you're a Miroslav Vitous fan you'll love this one. If you're not a Miroslav fan, I'd suggest giving this one a try. Some of Vitous's recent albums have been disappointing to me, but this session from 1979 is great. Kenny Kirkland is on piano, John Surman on sax and bass clarinet, and Jon Christenson on drums. The playing is beautiful and relaxed. Some people get tired of all the ECM atmospheric albums, but going back to the early years of ECM you find substance and atmosphere. I'm also trying to find a rerelease of the excellent MIROSLAV VITOUS GROUP cd from 1980 featuring this same group and also worthy of 5 stars."
