"I find this undeservedly forgotten musician immensely enjoyable and definitely one of the best in his time and not only. As far as the conductor, Gianfranco Placci and the Lauda Sion Choir are concerned, they are well worth a praise, if only for rediscovering this wonderful, majestic "Miserere", which does not lose in their touching live performance: if nothing, it gains in intensity and emotional involvement"

"Sarti's music is kind of a miracle: light and melodious. The kind Mozart would not have denied. But let in Placci's hands, it becomes a nightmare for the listeners. The orchestra is going apart as if each and every player was willing to play his own way. The soloists and chorus are not singing, they are yelling. It's a shame to dare recording such massacre, which Sarti does not deserve. As a world premiere recording, it undoubtedly is...for the worst performance."
