"An incredible album. Although I know him from Hello Nasty and To the Five Boroughs, this is my first actual Mix Master Mike album and I must say it's amazing what Mix Master Mike can do when released from the production overview of others.
Think of it as a hip-hop/turntablism opera of sorts. Each track is distinct and yet they flow seamlessly into each other, each successive one elaborating on the last, finally concluding in a dramatic bass explosion (if you will) on track 13, The Joust.

"Alright, MIKE IS BACK!!! I don't think Mike is capable of dropping a bad album, and this one is no acception. The whole damn LP is DOPE! you can really tell he worked on the production side alot more this time. His beats BANG in the stereo and the scratching is straight NASTY. standard MMM is always better than most's top notch. i just wish the beastie's would let him do more of his thing on their albums. to the 5 boroughs let him shine alittle...but they should let him have a track like "babu in deep concentration" on the new dialated LP. But nonetheless, this man is DOPE. BUY THIS AND CRY TEARS OF JOY! NO BOOTLEGGING!!!!!"

"Mix master mike has really worked on his beats this time. i give him props for that. what i miss is like a scratch-theme in each track like dj revolution, dj premier are doing using acapellas and making own lyrics, sentences with it.
Overall the album is ok, but not a classic."
