CD Reviews

Worth if just for the Bourne Theme

"For the most part, I enjoy Moby's work but I especially like Extreme Ways which is the ending credits theme for the Bourne movies. And for the price of two bucks, I would be a fool to pass it up."
Great album from a great artist

"I remember seeing Moby back in the early 90s at a club in Chicago. This was during his "rave" days and the entire show was pretty much a bunch of repetitive beats and loops. Great for dancing, but not much more than that.

If you would have asked me then about what would happen to him, I would have thought he would just disappear, along with the other "rave" artists who have done just that. Instead, he evolved and started working on songs with a more solid structure, which could be appreciated outside of the club.

This album is full of great songs, some which (GASP!!) actually got played on the radio and MTV. If you're a fan of Moby's earlier stuff, there is enough here that you'll appreciate it, but I think this will open him up to a bunch of new fans who might not be aware he has been around for about 20 years.

A great album and a real bargain! If you like artists like the Chemical Brothers or Basement Jaxx, you will enjoy this one."
Genius Album

"I just got back from a 900-mile road trip that would have been much duller if not for Moby's music. It's the ideal driving music--both dynamic and varied, as well as beautiful. The differing tempos combat the tedium of driving along on the I-5--which I do quite often, traveling between Los Angeles and San Francisco. I probably listened to 18 about a dozen times on this trip and never tired of it. It's that good! While I love all the songs, the one I listen to repeatedly (and which helps me haul ass!) is "Extreme Ways." I also listen to Moby's music around the house--he's not just for the car!"
