CD Reviews

A valuable gem for all moby fans

"This boxed set is for everybody who enjoys listening to Moby'smusic. For long-time fans, it is a must-get collectors' item. And for newer audiences who was introduced to his music by listening to 'Play', it should be a even bigger delight. For those who are new to his music, the three CDs included('Everything is Wrong','Animal Rights','I like to Score') are all excellent albums, displaying his diverse musical talent. But some of you might hesitate, saying 'Is paying [the price] worth it?'. Of course it is. Remember the fact that it's a 3 CD set, and if you know that you will eventually get the albums, it's a much better value than paying... for each of them [individually]. All the long-time fans would know that having these CDs is alot better than getting the latest 'Mobysongs' which boasts to be his best of the '90s, but is really not. And all the songs on the CD(except 'Move') will be found on the three albums, with much more of other better tracks. Other interesting thing to note is that this European version of 'Animal Rights' is slightly different than the US version. It contains only 11 tracks, compared to 16 track US version, but it has 2 tracks that is not included in the US version(a good reason for everybody to get the CD). The color design on the case is slightly different, too. In conclusion, this is a essential set for everybody!"
Wish I hadn't missed this..

"I bought each of these CDs for about $... each and I really wish I had known about this. This assortment does a good job of showcasing different aspects of Moby's music. Animal Rights has a lot of hard rock songs, and is probably my least favorite Moby CD (which doesn't mean it's bad). However, songs like "That's When I Reach for my Revolver" have excellent lyrics to make it worth while. Everything is Wrong is a fantastic album with softer, moving music and I Like to Score is great, with music even people that aren't devoted Moby fans will know."
