CD Reviews

'Strictly' Great

"I heard "What You Don't Know" on some XM channel and had no clue who it was. I thought/think this song is extremely beautiful and had to find out who it was. I remembered a few of the lyrics and did a Google search to come up with Monrose. I had never heard of them ever. I immediately purchased the CD and I cannot stop listening to it.

It turns out Monrose are the latest winners in the reality show Pop Idol. They consist of three girls with great voices. This CD consists of the best pop I have heard in quite some time. Their sound reminds me a lot of Danity Kane meets Liberty X. The CD offers a lot of up beat pop songs that make you want to get out of your seat and dance.

I recommend this CD to anyone who likes pop or anyone who is just looking for a new group to listen to. I promise, you will not be disappointed!

"This second album of Monrose contains different kind of music...pop, rock and R&B...there are many original songs, for example "Monrose Theme"...I like it!!! My favourite songs are: "Dangerous", "Hot Summer", "Rebound", "Burning"...Monrose are very sexy...I love them!!!!"
Surprisingly impressive sophomore effort from Monrose.

"After a fairly poor debut album, Monrose are back with a better, more cohesive sound that separates them from other Reality TV Show singers. It's an album I can listen to all the way through with out skipping any tracks, and even though some are worse than others, all the songs are individually interesting. The best are Hot Summer, Rebound, Strictly Physical, Golden, Leading Me On & What You Don't Know. The worst is probably Sooner Or Later which is a little filler-like. Overall though I recommend this album to anyone who wants to listen to good pop music."
