"Defying tradition, the title of the disc really does say it all. The good Monsieur knows his funk, his hip-hop and knows how to make it all mix. This isn't a party record per se, this is the soundtrack to the after hours party when you want to keep the vibe going. Check out the reverb guitar opening to "Funky Schluepfer" - it's only made better by the low end kicking in and making that deep bottom end take over. The beats are all good, whether they're direct samples or have a more complex, added percussion sound. The horns on "Une Boogie Pour Faye" are a nice addition as well - breathy at times, punchy others. If you're looking for the perfect song to throw in a mix, check out "Maccaroni Cheese Sandwich" for an all too short masterpiece with just a touch of insanity (who the hell is doing that voice over?)"
