An extraordinary album by an extraordinary guitarist/singer-songwriter. Seeing Monte Montgomery live is one of the 100 things you should do before you die. But in the meantime, pick up this album. It is his most mature and accomplished album to date. He is a guitar wizard of extraordinary taste combining elements of rock, jazz, folk, and country in a unique and tasteful blend. Particularly appealing cuts include the breathtaking "I Could Have Loved You Forever", "Midlife Matinee". Few artists can pull off doing covers of Jimi Hendrix songs, but Montgomery's "White Wing" more than does justice to the master's original.
